Tuna is a staple in almost any pantry. I'm passionate about good tuna and explaining the huge difference between twice-cooked (less flavor and nutrients) commodity tuna versus my friends at Sea Fare Pacific. You can read about them on our "About Us", "Producers" page on the left side of our header bar. Â

Basically, this is a small company in Charleston, OR who buy young albacore from small local boats. Each pouch is packed with hand-filleted tuna along with little bit of belly meat (i.e. flavor). It's once cooked, preserving the texture, flavor and nutrients. The liquid remaining in the pouch is love too! It's loaded with omega 3's, so don't throw it away. Instead, mash it back in to the tuna where it will naturally be reabsorbed.

Also in this category are other favorites we think you will enjoy, like Ventresca tuna, trout, cod, mackerel, Branzino sea bass and salmon to name a few.  These are all tasty and excellent for camping, hiking or incorporating into everyday meals.
