Blackberries are a wonderful berry for pie. They are delicate yet pack a lovely sweet flavor with just the right amount of tart. They also stand up to being mixed with layers of spice. This Chai Blackberry Pie sings with cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, allspice, cloves and a pinch of black pepper. It warms the tummy and the soul.
Pie comes in a 10 inch tin and serves 8-10 people.
Ingredients: blackberries, flour, butter, sugar, vegetable shortening, tapioca starch, vanilla extract, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, black pepper, salt, lemon juice, egg.
Pie is fully baked, unique and frozen, and comes with instructions for thawing and serving.
