Gorgeous serving tray from the famous Svenskt Tenn store in Stockholm, purchased and brought back from a buying trip in April 2025.
Vegetable plants from Italy were undeniably Josef Frank’s inspiration for the Italian Dinner print. Stems, leaves and fruit shapes build vertical bands with an olive branch in the center. The horizontal stream with yellow striped red mullet, squid, mussels and lobster balances the composition.
Josef Frank designed this print in 1943-1945. Svenskt Tenn's classic trays in birch veneer are available in a number of prints by Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson, including Italian Dinner.
