Our favorite intense extra virgin olive oil.  Period.  De Carlo's 100% estate grown and bottled coratina olive oil "Torre di Mossa" has a limited production and is consistently recognized and awarded as one of the best olive oils in the world.

It has a medium-intense fruitiness and an intense green color.  The scent opens wide and elegantly, with the aroma of olive and fresh cut grass, followed by notes of artichoke and green almond.  This finishing oil starts off sweet, then bitter, stimulating the palate with a persistent sensation of vitality!

Pairs well with simple grilled bread but is also ideal for raw meat preparations, legume soups, wheat, carpaccio meat dishes, and zesty first courses.

Single varietal, Coratina from Bitritto, Puglia where the age of the olive trees are centuries-old.  Olives are harvested by-hand, and processed within 12 hours of harvesting, and typically within 6 hours as the mill is near not to far from this grove.  Torre di Mossa is the De Carlo family’s "historical" farm along the famous Apian Way.

Production Area:  Bitritto, Tenuta Torre di Mossa, Puglia.

Ingredients:  organically grown, Coratina olives | Maximum acidity 0.3%

Note:  If we sell out of "Torre di Mossa", we suggest "Arcamone" from De Carlo.  It's the same varietal but certified organic from another grove on their property.  (All De Carlo products are grown organically).  Or, Pruneti's Moraiolo, which is also a very intense oil.
