Located northwest of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the left bank of the Rhône, Château Maucoil extends over the appellation’s three main terroirs: pebbles, Urgonian and sand. Growing mainly Grenache, this vineyard produces fine, elegant wines, gracefully expressing the characteristics of sandy terroirs dating back to the Miocene epoch.
Intense ruby red color. Fine nose with notes of black fruit and spices. Charming and intense on the palate, revealing excellent balance. If drinking within 5 years, fantastic with a noble piece of beef or a truffle risotto.
