First, we are in LOVE with this burrata from Italy. It is sweet, creamy, and unlike US burrata. Full-disclosure, it does have some stabilizers which we are not generally a fan of; but it is the only way they can make this frozen, ship frozen, and thaw like fresh Italian burrata. Trust us, this is exceptional.
Burrata is a fresh, stretched-curd cheese, similar to mozzarella, but with a softer, creamier texture. It’s handcrafted by filling a pouch of stretched curd with a rich, creamy mixture of shredded mozzarella and cream (known as stracciatella). Thanks to a new recipe, our burrata now retains all of its sensory qualities after thawing — creaminess, aroma, and flavor remain perfectly intact.
